■ The eldest grandson of Queen Elizabeth II married his Canadian fiancee yesterday in a private ceremony at Windsor Castle. Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly were married at the castle's 15th-century St. George's Chapel in front of 300 guests including the queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and Phillips' mother, Princess Anne. Prince Harry, the third in line to the throne, was also there. Phillips -- the 11th in line to the throne -- met Kelly in 2003, when both were working at the Montreal Grand Prix. Phillips did not immediately reveal that he was a royal -- Kelly later said she made the discovery when she spotted her husband-to-be in a program about Prince William.

■ Woody Allen's latest film touches on that classic male fantasy -- a romantic threesome with two women. Has Allen ever entertained the notion himself? "You know, it's hard enough to get one person," Allen said yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival, hours before the premier of his romantic comedy Vicky Cristina Barcelona, starring Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. "In trying to figure out solutions in life, two actually tends to make it more complicated than one. The characters in this movie are able, the chemistry was right, and they're able to handle the situation," Allen said. "But in real life, most of us petty people could never handle anything like that."

■ After wrapping up a successful concert tour, you'd think that Reba McEntire would want to take some time off to relax. Instead, the tireless country star is preparing for her 10th turn as host of the Academy of Country Music Awards tonight. At last year's show, McEntire sang "Because of You" with American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson. The song was the lead single from McEntire's country- and pop-chart topping Duets album. The two then headlined a series of live concerts together earlier this year. It was such a hit that they decided to perform 24 more shows in the fall.

■ It's true: Desperate Housewives will flash-forward five years. Marcia Cross, who plays domestic goddess Bree on the ABC comedy-drama, said in a recent interview that a flash-forward narrative device will offer viewers a glimpse into the future lives of the Wisteria Lane gang. Cross said her character makes "a big leap." When asked if it has anything to do with the catering business Bree started with her neighbor Katherine (Dana Delany), Cross replied: "It does have to do with the business. Bree definitely has made a name for herself." She also revealed that Eva Longoria Parker's character, Gabrielle, "has had some children."
