Portion of Charlotte parking deck collapses for the second time

CHARLOTTE
A small section of a four-story parking deck near SouthPark Mall in Charlotte has collapsed, but authorities say it appears no one is hurt.
Charlotte Fire Department Captain Rob Brisley says firefighters are making a search of the collapsed area and will continue to look for possible victims.
It also appears that only a few cars, if any, were damaged.
This is the second time in six months a parking deck in Charlotte collapsed. A woman was killed in December when her car crashed into the edge of the top level of the parking deck at SouthPark Mall.
In that case, a small portion of the three-tier deck collapsed and the driver fell through the opening.

Someone is going to pay dearly this time; probably shoddy repairs after the 1st collapse. This makes me not want to park in decks as long as there are surface parking available. South Park is a beautiful mall that we visit when we're in Charlotte and they do have stores not available here in W-S.

The parking deck that collapse this morning was NOT at SouthPark Mall. It was across the street and behind another building.
