The National Safety Council released new data last week regarding people older than 65 who died from an accidental fall. The council said that one in three Americans in that age range will fall each year, and nearly 16,000 will die as a result of complications from the fall. The graph represents the six highest death rates, North Carolina's rank and the two lowest among each state in 2005.
