FCD 5, Christ School 4: Robert Deluca hit a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Brandon Goodson and lift Forsyth Country Day to a come-from-behind win in Lewisville the first round of the N.C. Independent Schools 3-A playoffs.
The Furies (14-7) trailed 3-0 in the fourth, but scored a run each in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to tie it.

McGuinness 5, East Montgomery 2: Mary Kathryn Lee scored two goals, and Olivia Hall had two assists to lead Bishop McGuinness past East Montgomery last night in a second-round NCHSAA 1-A game in Biscoe.
McGuinness trailed 1-0 at halftime, but stormed back in the second half with five goals.

Midwest 4-A Regional: Landon Kinsey of Greensboro Page won the singles title, and Greensboro Grimsley's Conner Sherwood and Jon Roy took the doubles title yesterday in matches at Central Park in Winston-Salem.
Kinsey defeated Mount Tabor's Patrick Cunningham 6-1, 6-4 in the semis, then defeated Northwest Guilford's Ryan Matthews 6-3, 6-1 in the final. Cunningham came back to defeat Huntersville Hopewell's Anthony Lopez for tihird place.

West 2-A Regional: Nathan Poteat and Cody Poplin of North Wilkes did not drop a set on their way to the doubles title yesterday in Class 2-A regional competition in Wilkesboro.
