Workshops, camps set by arts council in Elkin

Foothills Arts Council, 129 Church St., in Elkin, has a number of workshops and camps coming up. To register, call 336-835-2025.

Here are some of the classes.

□ The Art Cafe: Make Your Mark will be from noon to 1 pm. Tuesday. Participants will use permanent marking pens to draw and doodle. The cost is $10.

Artworks created in the workshop may be entered in the Make Your Mark Art Show, set for June 27.

□ Summer Art Camp for children in grades one through five will be held 1-3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays through Aug. 1 at the arts council. Classes include basic drawing, "Playing With Paper," printmaking, painting and sculpture. Classes cost $75 a person for one week of classes.
