The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center will present Avenue Q today through Sunday in the Belk Theater, 130 N. Tryon St., Charlotte. The Adam Foundation will sponsor an Adam Night Out at 5:30 p.m. July 31 at the Village Tavern at Reynolda Village on Reynolda Road.Adam Night Out is a chance to socialize and support local businesses that support the LGBT community. The Winston-Salem chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) meets from 7 to 9 p.m. on the fourth Monday of every month at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 2690 Fairlawn Drive.

Martini Night is a time for the gay and lesbian community and its supporters at Speakeasy Jazz, 410 W. Fourth St. Martini Night is from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month. Participants can enjoy music, appetizers and a chance to socialize.

A local bowling alley is starting Let's Go Bowling Together, a night of bowling for the LGBT community on the first and third Thursdays of every month. Bowling will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at AMF Winston-Salem Lanes, 811 Jonestown Road.
