South by Southwest closes

South by Southwest, a well-known Winston-Salem restaurant specializing in Southwestern food, has closed after 15 years of business.
South by Southwest opened in 1993. It was at 421 S. Marshall St.
Owner Pat Burke declined to talk about the closing but said that it was partly due to the stagnant economy. Restaurants have also been struggling in recent months with sharp rises in food costs.
