BOONE – Two suspects in last week's robbery of the High Country Bank in Foscoe turned themselves in to authorities at 8:45 p.m. Friday, according to the Watauga County Sheriff's Office.
Steven Jason Bigelow, 25, and Anne Gabrieli Bridges, 22, both of Vilas, surrendered themselves to the Watauga County Sheriff's Office. They were each charged with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon.
A surveillance photo showed a man in a blue hooded sweatshirt pointing what appears to be a gun at a teller. Another photo showed a young woman in a sun dress, who authorities said was also a suspect in the robbery. The bank was robbed last Wednesday afternoon. The suspects eluded an initial search by more than 10 agencies.
Bigelow and Bridges were each placed on a $25,000 bond. Both remained in the Watauga County jail today.
