■ Holiday show: The Children's Center for the Physically Disabled will have a holiday show at 10 a.m. at SECCA, 750 Marguerite Drive. Santa and the Winston-Salem Fire Department will be on hand. For more information, call 768-5560.

■ NARFE meeting: The National Active and Retired Federal Employees association will have its monthly meeting at 11:30 a.m. at Southern Family Restaurant, 4689 Yadkinville Road, Pfafftown. Officers for 2009 will be elected. For more information, call 721-1783.

Saturday

■ Walkertown Christmas parade: The Walkertown Civic Club will sponsor the Walkertown Christmas parade at 1 p.m. at Walkertown Middle School. There will be judging for the best-decorated float. For more information, call 754-3092.

■ Toy drive: ISP Sports, 540 N. Trade St., will have a toy drive to benefit Brenner Children's Hospital and Santa's Helpers from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 831-0700.

■ Winston-Salem Christmas parade: The City of Winston-Salem will have its Holiday Parade at 5 p.m. starting at Fourth and Poplar streets. The tree-lightning ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Corpening Plaza. The choir from Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church will provide music, along with the jazz band and a cappella chorus from Reynolds High School. For more information, call 354-1500.

Sunday

■ Five-mile run/walk: A "Run to Victory" will be held at 10 a.m. at Randleman Middle School, 800 High Point St., Randleman. The run will benefit Victory Junction Gang. For more information, visit www.runtovictory.org.

■ Snacks with Santa: A family holiday celebration honoring various traditions will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the YWCA Gateway, 1300 S. Main St. There will be crafts, games, entertainment and educational presentations. Admission is one canned or nonperishable item of food.
