Two men were arrested today and charged with robbing a man and hitting him in the head with brass knuckles, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
A man reported the robbery at 1:14 this morning. He told sheriff's deputies that two men robbed him while he was in the parking lot of the Sheetz convenience store at 12290 N. N.C. 150. According to the sheriff's office, the men hit the victim in the head with brass knuckles and took his wallet. They then left in a small white Chevy pickup heading north toward Winston-Salem.
The victim was able to get the vehicle's tag number and Winston-Salem Police found the white truck at the BP gas station at 2700 Peters Creek Parkway. Inside the truck were the brass knuckles and the victim's credit cards. The two men had used one of the victim's credit cards at the gas station. Davidson County deputies came to Winston-Salem and arrested the men.
Joshua William Bowman, 19, of 625 Hunters Ridge Court in Lexington, and Jordan Caine Brock, 18, of 280 Northwest Elementary School Road in Winston-Salem, were both charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. They are both in the Davidson County Jail with bond set for each at $75,000.
