A Winston-Salem man was shot as he left a nightclub early this morning, police said.
The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. at Sugar Bares in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Drive. Police said the victim was leaving the business when an acquaintance approached him. The two men were talking when the suspect pointed a gun and the victim and fired several times, striking the victim three times in the legs, police said.
The victim was taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, where he was being treated for injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening, police said.
