CANCER SERVICES, 3175 Maplewood Ave., will offer these programs:
□ Today: Massage therapy from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. RSVP and doctor's note required; GYN Cancer Wellness Group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
□ Thursday: Metastatic and Recurrent Cancer Group will meet from noon to 1:30 p.m.; "Update on Cancer Clinical Trials" session from 6 to 7 p.m. RSVP required.
□ Monday: "Writing for Wellness," a monthly group that focuses on using writing and journaling to promote wellness and self care, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

BICYCLE TRAINING RIDE: The MS Society will hold training rides Saturdays for the Bike MS: BB&T Tour to Tanglewood, scheduled for Sept. 6 and 7. All training rides begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration at 7:30 and a safety briefing at 8:15. This week's ride will be at Paul's Cycling and Fitness. HEALTH CAREERS CONFERENCE: "Preparing Future Healthcare Professionals -- Today" will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 7237 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte. The conference is presented by the Center for Health and Healing's Minority Health Careers Initiative in partnership with the Charlotte Area Health Education Center's HEROES Program, Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and the N.C.
