RALEIGH -- A global call-center operation is adding 280 jobs in Raleigh on top of adding more than 1,000 jobs in the state in 2009.
Affiliated Computer Services of Dallas is hiring to meet demand from a client. It is accepting applications and inquiries by phone, online and in person at its Raleigh office. The company said it will pay above minimum wage of $7.25 an hour for the jobs, and provide three weeks of training.
The company, bought last month by Xerox, does not identify its clients because the clients don't want to advertise to their customers that their service representatives work through contractors.
It has 1,100 employees in Raleigh and 3,250 throughout the state. Its other call centers are in Cary, Charlotte, Durham and Henderson.
