GREENSBORO -- RF Micro Devices Inc. said yesterday that it expects to have revenue in its fourth quarter ranging from $240 million to $245 million. The quarter will end on April 3.
The Greensboro chipmaker said that would represent a 41 percent increase compared with the fourth quarter of 2009.
The company said it expects to have diluted earnings of 11 to 12 cents for the quarter. The average earnings forecast is 8 cents by analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research.
RF Micro said that customer demand is "significantly outpacing original expectations" in its cellular and multimarket products groups, particularly in China and Korea.
