The team of MBA students won $50,000 for its presentation regarding the Smarter Cities marketing campaign for IBM, the sponsor of the competition. Students from Wake Forest finished second in the MBA competition.

In the undergraduate category, the team from the University of Pennsylvania won first place and a $10,000 prize. The undergraduate competition focused on IBM's Smarter Planet initiative. Emory University finished second.

Students in both groups were given 36 hours to devise marketing campaigns and present them to judges.
