MARION -- North Cove Springs, a regional producer of bottled water from natural springs, said yesterday that it will expand its production plant in Marion, spending more than $6.3 million on capital investments and creating 138 jobs.

The company received a $310,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund, which the governor can provide to existing businesses or business opening operations in the state.

The project's 138 new jobs will pay an average annual wage of $28,141, not including benefits, which is higher than the county annual average wage of $27,976.
