Piedmont Triad International Airport said yesterday that it will have free Wi-Fi service through Jan. 15.
The airport was selected as one of 47 to join with Google in providing the service.
Travelers can access the service through Boingo, the airport's wireless provider.
No login or e-mail is required.
Travelers will need to select the option for the free service and accept the terms of service.
Travelers also will have the option to make a donation to one of three nonprofit organizations selected by Google: Engineers Without Borders, the One Economy Corp. or the Climate Savers Computing Initiative.
Google said it will match donations made at the 47 airports up to a combined $250,000.
The airport where travelers donate the most money for each passenger by Jan. 1 will receive $15,000 to contribute to a local nonprofit organization of its choice.
