■ Becky Hutchinson of Allen Tate Realtors has completed the Realtor e-PRO course. The certification, offered through the National Association of Realtors, is designed to provide real-estate professionals with the technology tools needed to assist consumers in the purchase or sale of a home.

■ The Bryan School of Business and Economics at UNC Greensboro has established an MBA board of advisors. The board is made up of 21 members from the business and academic community, including six Bryan School alumni. Ex-officio members are Dr. Joyendu Bhadury, associate dean for graduate programs and research; Dr. Vidyaranya Gargeya, director of the MBA program and professor of operations management; and Tom May, assistant to the dean.

Consumers Digest, a nonprofit product review and recommendation service, awarded Consumers Digest "Best Buys" ratings to three models in Amarr Garage Door's Classica Collection of garage doors in the magazine's August issue. The magazine awards the Best Buy seal to products its independent staff judge to be of the best quality and offered at the most reasonable price.

■ PhoneTree in Winston-Salem is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Since 1989, PhoneTree has manufactured and sold automated messaging systems to a wide variety of organizations. PhoneTree has more than 45,000 systems in use by faith-based organizations, medical and dental practices, civic organizations, libraries, schools, businesses, and government agencies.

■ Davenport, Marvin, Joyce & Co., LLP, certified public accountants and consultants, said that Daniel Billings has earned the Certified Financial Planner designation. He is a financial planner for DMJ Wealth Advisors LLC based in Greensboro.

■ DeWayne Anderson, the founder of The Landmark Group in Winston-Salem, will deliver the keynote speech at Preservation North Carolina's annual conference Oct. 9. Anderson, who received the organization's 2007 Ruth Coltrane Cannon Award for historic preservation work in North Carolina, will discuss, "Why Historic Preservation Matters."

■ Dianne D. Cobb has opened a business valuation and consulting practice in Winston-Salem after a career in trust investments at Wachovia, where she managed the closely held business group for more than 25 years. She has the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, issued by the CFA Institute and the designation of Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation issued by the American Society of Appraisers.

■ The 2008-09 Piedmont Triad Partnership Board of Directors are: Representing Alamance County Commission is Chairman Larry Sharpe, Caswell County Commissioner C. Hester Vernon III and Davidson County Commissioner Max Walser. Private-sector investors are Doug Atkinson, vice president of business development, Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center; Spence Broadhurst, the president of the Triad Region, SunTrust Bank; L.
