■ Advanced Technology Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of decorative laminates in Greensboro has made these executive management promotions. Jim Burgio has become the company's chairman and chief executive. He founded Advanced Technology in 1979 and was the president and the chief product-development talent. Tara Burgio has been promoted to president. She joined the company in 1994 and has filled several roles, most recently the vice president of sales. Frank Daniello has been promoted to chief operating officer. He joined the company in 1979 and was most recently the vice president of operations.
■ Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care in Mount Airy has named Mary Beth Wood the director of the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She currently is the transitions coordinator for Wood Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care. She has been a nurse for more than 30 years.
■ David Bunn has been promoted to general manager of Primo Direct in High Point. Primo Direct is the home- and office-delivery division of Primo Water Corp. Bunn began his career with Primo Direct in 2004 and has held several positions, including route driver, installer and sales manager.
■ Sandra Wells, an independent distributor with the Shaklee Corp., recently achieved the level of director. The Shaklee Corp. is a natural nutrition company based in Pleasanton, Calif. Wells works in Lewisville with a focus on personal wellness and sports nutrition.
■ April Bounds has joined Advanced Laser & Electrolysis, which has a location in High Point and in Greensboro, as the marketing director. She is a native of the Triad and a graduate of Wake Forest University.
■ Dr. Christopher J. Godshall has joined the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as an assistant professor. Godshall received a medical degree from Temple University. He completed his surgery residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky and completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. He is also a pharmacist.
■ Henig Furs welcomed its fifth generation when Michael Henig Jr. and Alex Henig Jones joined their father, Mike Henig, in the family business. Michael Henig Jr., who graduated from Mississippi State University, will assist his father with operations and overseeing the company's more than 30 locations throughout the Southeast that bear the Henig label through Belk Fur Salons, as well as Henig freestanding stores. Alex Henig graduated from Auburn University and is currently the director of marketing and advertising for Henig Furs. Colin Jones joined Henig Furs after his graduation from Auburn University. He oversees the wholesale accounts as well as Henig Furs' hotel and trunk shows. Henig operates out of the Belk stores at Hanes Mall in Winston-Salem and Friendly Center in Greensboro.
