»  Comments | Post a Comment

HICKORY -- A Connecticut company plans to open a plant in Hickory next year and hire about 25 people. Turbotec Products will put a fabrication operation in an existing building in CrossPoint Business Park.

Turbotec manufactures heat exchangers and heat-transfer tubing used in heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration products.

Sunil Raina, the president of Turbotec, said that the new plant will help the company reach customers in the South. He said that the company came to Hickory because the cost of doing business was comparatively low.
