15 information-technology jobs cut at Hanesbrands

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Hanesbrands Inc. said yesterday that it has eliminated 15 information-technology positions at its Winston-Salem headquarters as part an on-going consolidation of the division's domestic operations.

Matt Hall, a spokesman for Hanesbrands, said that 14 of the positions were eliminated this week and one in July. He said that one employee was placed into a job vacancy that came open this week.

Hanesbrands had about 400 employees in its domestic information-technology division when the company spun off from Sara Lee Corp. in September 2006. Hall said that with the latest cuts, the division has about 300 employees domestically and about 100 outside the United States.
